Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd announced that it will be exhibiting at the TICAD Business Expo & Conference, an event held in conjunction with the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9, Note 1), which will be held at Pacifico Yokohama from Wednesday, August 20 to Friday, August 22, 2025.
MOL has provided marine transport services to and from Africa for nearly a century since launching Japan's first liner route linking Japan and the east coast of Africa in 1926. In recent years, MOL has established offices in four countries: South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, and Mauritius. MOL Group is active in a variety of businesses, including land transport, warehousing, HR consulting, and investment in startups, as well as marine transport.
Exhibition attendees will get a firsthand look at MOL's commitment to expanding the group business in Africa through informational sessions and exhibitions. On the opening day, Wednesday, August 20, at 1 p.m., MOL will conduct a seminar introducing the group's initiatives in Africa on Stage A inside the venue. At the MOL exhibition booth (Exhibition Hall B&C, Booth No. F22), it will showcase its wide-ranging activities in Africa, as well as exhibit the models of the Wind Challenger - wind assisted ship propulsion system, a car carrier, a FSRU, and an LNG powership.
