Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced on 3rd of March that on Saturday, July 19, the MOL Museum ‘Funeshiru,’ featuring hands-on and interactive displays, will open at the Asia and Pacific Trade Center (ATC; Suminoe, Osaka). Based on the concept of knowing the ocean shipping industry and the MOL Group, the museum shows visitors the scale of ocean shipping, the role of ships in people's daily lives, the job of shipping, and its future through a range of exhibits. The space will also feature a café serving original menu items and a shop.
This museum grew out of an idea generated through the MOL Incubation Bridge program. The museum concept proposal reflected the group's aspiration to demonstrate to the general public how the shipping industry supports everyday life, while showcasing the MOL Group's ongoing technological innovations, all in a fun and enjoyable experience.
