Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) held a naming ceremony for its new LNG carrier, the MOL Azure, at Hanwha Ocean's Geoje Shipyard in South Korea on January 10. The vessel, ordered by a MOL subsidiary, will be chartered to TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited and is set to sail on January 14. It is the second LNG carrier under a time charter with TotalEnergies.

The name "Azure" reflects MOL's corporate mission, symbolizing blue oceans and a commitment to sustaining lives and ensuring a prosperous future. The vessel features advanced MAN Energy Solutions engines for improved fuel efficiency and environmental performance. MOL is dedicated to strengthening its partnership with TotalEnergies while prioritizing environmental sustainability in line with its MOL Group Environmental Vision 2.2.
